ABOUT KALANGGAMAN ISLAND
Kalanggaman Island is located in the municipality of Palompon, province of Leyte. The Island is known for its long sand bar. 9th Longest sand bar in the Philippines. The Island is not so big that you can actually walk around it for like 45 mins. Kalanggaman Island has clear waters and white powdery sand. This is truly a serene paradise for me. As what a foreigner once said
“If there is such thing as heaven, then this is heaven!”
Haay, naku! I don’t mind going to this Island weekly. he he he
Meeting all my standards with this Island.
> Friendly locals
> Clear blue waters
> Allow overnight stay
> White powdery sand
> Well maintained surroundings
> Police stationed for security 24/7
My summer isn’t complete without going to this Island. If my neurons serve me right, I visited the Island 6 times last year. Kalanggaman by far is my top favorite Island so far. Make it one of your favorites too!

Based on my research, 365-meter long sandbar connected to its pine-tree dotted island.
Kalanggaman is the 9th longest sandbar of the Philippines.
Summer is in the air. Expect it to be crowded.
This picture has to be posted as the best “photobomber” for me this year.
The perfect time to walk all the way through the sand bar is during sunset.
These group of travelers allow me to take their jumpshot photos since they are having a hard time taking a good one.

and the main event of the evening, my salad. You can also cook your own food. Just bring your own cooking set.
Sleep in a tent
My kind of 5 star hotel. Imagine, lying and watching the stars sparkling at night.
While waiting for the milkyway to appear above the horizon.
Despite the light pollution came from the mainland, still managed to take the shot.
It was tolerable actually.
