ABOUT TACLOBAN CITY
Tacloban is the largest city in Eastern Visayas. The capital of the province of Leyte. Tacloban was formerly known as Kankabatok, named after the first settler Kabatok.
Tacloban has so much to offer that you might not probably heard of yet. Some tourists came to Tacloban as their jumpoff point to their next destination. Why not have atleast a day tour and explore the place. For sure, you’ll enjoy it.
Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival
Pintados is a popular native festival held every 27th of June in Tacloban City.
The contingents showcase the unique culture, religion and history of the people of Eastern Visayas.
The parade usually starts at 9am at grand stand going to the major streets of Tacloban
then back to grand stand for their ritual dance that usually starts at 1pm.
BURO BURAWON FESTIVAL
Pintados 2018 Grand champion
Tribu Buyogan Festival
My favorite contingent, Buyogan Festival from Abuyog Leyte. 😀
And the other contigents
They are all looks beautiful and amazing with their colorful props.
Kudos to their Municipalities.
Joining this kind of contest is such a one hell of a challenge.
